Pride Month is more than parades and rainbows—it's about community, visibility, and the freedom to fully be who we are. And here on Chicago's North Shore, we know how to celebrate with purpose and heart.
As someone proud to serve the LGBTQIA+ community, I love seeing our towns come alive with events that bring people together, support local queer voices, and highlight the inclusive spirit of our neighborhoods.

Saturday, June 15 | 11 AM – 3 PM
Kick off the day with a youth-led car parade through downtown Evanston. The celebration continues with a community picnic at Ingraham Park featuring music, games, and food trucks. It's family-friendly, fun, and full of joy.
Sunday, June 23 | 10 AM – 12 PM
Join neighbors and allies as Wilmette hosts its second annual Pride Walk along the Green Bay Trail. This casual walk is a great way to show your support while enjoying one of the North Shore's most scenic spots.
June 1 – June 30 | Downtown Highland Park
All month long, explore local businesses displaying artwork created by LGBTQIA+ artists. It's a walking gallery that weaves creativity, visibility, and community support throughout the city.
